Musselburgh Baptist Church – A People Fully Alive

Around the church you will see Acorns and Oak trees representing the visions of Isaiah 61:1-3. This is worked out in our ministries by focusing on three things; bringing Restoration to people and helping resource our futures that we may be released into all that God would have for us – that is, in being Fully Alive!

Reflections

Our reading today is: John 3:16-17 and Psalm 86:15

Our reading from John 3:16 is probably the most well known verse in the bible. Understandably so, as it forms the basis of our Christian faith; That Jesus came to save us from our sins and bring us into a relationship with God. Why did He do this amazing thing? Love! He loves us and wants us to know it. He wants us to experience it.

When it comes down to it there is nothing more meaningful in life than knowing love, being loved and loving others. And the greatest love of all is God’s love.

As we light the Love candle today let’s pray for a fresh understanding of His love for us and may we actively share with others the good news of God’s love and the saving power He gave to us through Jesus.

Pray that the Love of God will be recognised all around the world this Christmas.–+

Psalm 86:15 But you, Lord, are… abounding in love…..”
