A People Fully Alive
Restored, Resourced, Released
Isaiah 61:1-3; John 10:10
Today is Communion Sunday 7 April 2019
We welcome you to our Service where we gather together not as those who have our lives perfectly sussed out, but as fellow pilgrims on a journey. We meet to acknowledge God’s power through the Holy Spirit in our lives, to celebrate and to affirm that we are not our own – we belong to God and belong to one another because of the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
Reflections Our reading today is from John 14:1-7
If you want to know God then you better get to know Jesus. Study Jesus. What did He say and do? How did He interact with others? What were His priorities, ideals, actions? What did He teach? Like any relationship worth having it takes time and commitment to learn His ways. Verse 7: If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.’ Don’t get stressed about it though. Jesus spoke these words to reassure us. Verse1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” Praise God; there is a place for you in heaven.
As you join us today you will notice that our service is typically in three parts. Until about 10:30am we encourage the whole family to engage in worship. After family notices/birthday greetings and offerings, the kids are provided with their own “kids’ time” while the adults can further worship pray and then reflect on the sermon.
Today’s Worship Leader is Anton and Sophie
and Our Speaker is Jonathan Robinson

From Vera—Source of Hope, And His Name will be the hope of all. the world Matthew 12.21 .People who follow their own agenda end up hopeless. They don’t know how to face pain or reach out to others. They don’t know how to make their life count beyond themselves. But, we can live a life of Hope, Hope comes from God. He knows what’s best for us. Does this mean we’ll never face pain? No, But, God promises to be with us through it all and to work out His purpose through it. He knows how we’re going to touch others for Him. He sees our life from the perspective of eternity. Which gives us hope.

This life-changing, 10-week discipleship curriculum provides insights from top Christian leaders who lay out biblical strategies, scientific facts and teach men how to use God’s weapons to become conquerors.
