Supporting Christian growth and outreach:

A significant part of life at MBC is getting involved with a group of other people. We have home groups and bible study groups and prayer groups and mens groups and youth groups etc. They are an important way that we support one other in faith through the issues of life and we encourage everyone to get involved if they are able. Most of our groups meet fortnightly but some are also weekly. Contact us for more information.

Home Groups:

These have a variety of formats based on the needs of the groups but the general goals of these groups include, but are not limited to the following:

Read and study the bible together. Learning from each other to build and develop our faith.

Support each other through prayer and fellowship.

Provide a safe small group environment where people can ask questions, share their lives and be accountable to one another.

Prayer Groups:

Prayer builds a relationship with our Heavenly Father and is the key to sustaining and growing our spiritual life and seeing change in the life of others. Prayer is the foundation of all we do at MBC and so we encourage people to join us for prayer.

      • 7:00am Monday Morning
      • CAP prayer meeting first Tuesday of the month at 9am at church
      • Plus there is an intercessors team that will take prayer requests.
      • We also have available a dedicated Prayer Room available for all who wish to take time out to pray.

International Missions Group

This team supports International student outreach at our Otago campuses in addition to the indigenous missions of International Needs Network, Gospel for Asia, Empower Asia and mission endeavours with Tranzsend. We also look to how we can extend our care and support of those on mission service.

We have a Library (fold out box at the rear of the auditorium) which has lots of wonderful Christian books and DVD’s both fictional and teaching on a wide range of topics. The Library is open before and after church services for browsing and lending for up to 4 weeks.
