A People Fully Alive
Restored, Resourced, Released
Isaiah 61:1-3; John 10:10
Today is Sunday 22 November 2020
We welcome you to our Service where we gather together not as those who have our lives perfectly sussed out, but as fellow pilgrims on a journey. We meet to acknowledge God’s power through the Holy Spirit in our lives, to celebrate and to affirm that we are not our own – we belong to God and belong to one another because of the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
Reflection 2Corinthians 9:10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
9:11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
9:12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.
9:13 By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,
9:14 while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you.
9:15 Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
The gift of Jesus ministry [The Gospel] and the blessing of his grace means that death has been defeated. We can be freed from the sin that holds us back and because of this we can experience life in all its’ fullness. Life and the Life giver have blessed us with the ability to bring this message of Life to others. The seeds that symbolise new life are to be sown to increase a harvest of life and goodness that will flow out causing people to give thanks to God. Remember; the ultimate goal of our mission is not merely to increase the number of believers, but to bring worship and thanksgiving and glory back to God. When we truly comprehend what God has given us, we are able to give thanks in a way that was never possible without the unfolding of His perfect plan. On this foundation our evangelism must rest.

From Admin – Recently we had to buy a new office shredder and would like parents to advice their kids(25 years and below please!!) not to play with the shredder as it really damages the blades. Also please note that the office area is technically out of bounds unless you are staff or volunteer and the use of the Labelling Device (Brother) is only with permission from Admin or Jo Knowles as the tape is very expensive to replace. Thanks everyone for your support and grace in such mundane but important matters— from Tongsiew
Thursday Playgroup’s future : Marcie would like us to join her to pray for the following concerns to do with the group:
As playgroup comes to an end ( this year in Dec) that God might put it on someone’s heart to lead and carry it on ( perhaps another mom or individual who has a calling for leading a small group ministry with amazing moms in the community) or….
That if it is meant to finish that those seeds of love, friendship, and discipleship have been sown these years among the girls and those moms who have been apart of playgroup will be encouraged to go further in their faith and share in their relationships with one another for support.
If anyone is interested, I am happy to talk with them. This has been a ministry for the last seven years which has served the community and it has been a real privilege to be apart of it. Let’s give it to God’ s hands.
