Community Worker – Jo Knowles

” I am thankful that I have a Father in heaven who loves me and wants to have a relationship with me and I want to try to live my life as best I can to honour God. I often don’t get this right, but love being part of this church where I can be amongst others who are trying to live the same, worship God and show support and love for each other.”

Jo Knowles and her family have worshipped at MBC since early 2004 when Jo and her husband Stephen felt called to move to a church where they could see God using them together. Prior to this Jo completed a Diploma of Ministry internship through BCNZ and the Elim Church and with this and her occupational therapy background felt that God’s call and timing for MBC to open a CAP centre were part of His call on her own life. Working in this role heading up the CAP Centre since 2014, Jo enjoys the daily challenges and seeing people fulfill their true purpose in life and be free from debt. Jo is also a long-standing member of the eldership team, has been part of the Musselburgh Music team for over 13 years and enjoys being part of the worship team. In her spare time Jo loves walking the dog, jazz dance lessons and cake baking and decorating.
